Athlete of the Week: Kevin King, Golfer
Kevin King is helping the Cranford golf team to a successful season.

In his second season on the team, 15-year-old sophomore Kevin King's game is a big reason why Cranford is off to a strong start. Kevin is then number one player this season, as his his nine-hole average leads the team.
"I'm real happy with the way I'm golfing right now," says King. "I've qualified for counties and states in singles." Kevin said he is also pleased with the way the team is playing. "We are off to a 6-4-1 start and we have qualified for both counties and states as a team."
Stats: Kevin is averaging just below 40 for 9 holes

Siblings: Kevin has an older brother Christian, two older sisters Carrie and Alexis and a younger sister Mary.

Biggest Fan: "My dad is my biggest fan. He loves watching me play. He got me started in golf," King said, adding that he's been playing for seven years.
Best Moment: Beating New Providence, he said, adding, "New Providence is a very good team and the win over them put us in counties." King also said he played in the New Jersey Professional Golfer's Assocation tour over the summer, adding, "It was a great experience and I'm hoping to do that again this summer."
