Books for Kids 2015

Saturday, November 14 to Saturday, December 12, 2015, Cranford Public Library, 224 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

The Cranford Public Library will launch its 23rd annual “Books for Kids” campaign on Saturday, November 14. Each year thousands of disadvantaged children from all across New Jersey are given the chance to own a new book of their very own through this very important program. Give a child the gift of reading by bringing a new, unwrapped book to the library collection box. Books for children from preschool through age fourteen are needed. The books will be distributed by the Cranford Family Care Association to local families in need. Established in 1991, “Books for Kids” is a statewide program sponsored by the Children’s Services Section of the New Jersey Library Association. Donations will be accepted through Saturday, December 12. Library hours are Monday to Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information about the Books for Kids program, call the library at 908-709-7272 or email the library at library@cranfordnj.org.
