Car Crashes Into Hair Salon, Driver Taken To Hospital In Cranford

CRANFORD, NJ — A car crashed into a hair salon in Cranford causing the driver to be taken to an area hospital on Tuesday.

At around 11:15 a.m., a single-vehicle crash was reported into a commercial building on the 200 Block of Centennial Avenue. The business was Hair Republic Studio in Cranford.

Cranford Police, Cranford Fire, Cranford EMS, Cranford Building Department and Cranford Office of Emergency Management were called to the crash.

Emergency responders determined that one vehicle ran off the roadway, crashing into the storefront of a Centennial Avenue business, said Cranford Police Captain Matthew R. Nazzaro.

At the time of this report, the Cranford Building Department remained on scene with the Cranford Fire Department as the building was deemed uninhabitable.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

This remains an active investigation by the Cranford Police Department Traffic Bureau.
