CDC Theatre Makes Donation to Union Co. NOW

CDC Theatre, community support

The arts make a difference and CDC theatre, currently celebrating its 100th Season, is a performing arts institution in Cranford, NJ.

In September, the Short Play Festival at CDC Theatre presented The Vagina Monologues in part as a fund-raising program for the Union County chapter of NOW. Mayor Colleen Mahr of Fanwood came to the theater, representing the organization.
Recently at the theatre, the Treasurer for the group , Joel Redmount, presented a check for $2,450 to NOW representatives , (l-r),Jill LaZare and Anjali Mehrotra. Everyone associated with the performance was proud of the caliber of the work on-stage, and having the opportunity to give back to the community, in the form of this donation, adds to that pride.

CDC Theatre is a volunteer run theatre and a registered 501©3 organization with a mission to present quality and affordable live theater to New Jersey residents, to develop the talents of members in both the performance and technical aspects of theatre, and to stimulate community interest in theatre. Located at 78 Winans Ave. the remainder of the season will include the musicals Mamma Mia!, Feb 12-Mar.1, and Disney's Newsies in May. Additional information about the theatre and shows can be found by visiting cdctheatre.org.
