The Record: The Cranford Cougars with a 86 – 12 record bowled against a difficult Roselle team on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 4 p.m. at Jersey Lanes in Linden.
The Final Score: 7 –0, Cranford. Cranford started slow but came on and dominated all three games as Cranford rolled to a decisive win to maintain it battle for the top spot in the Mountain Varsity Division. Cranford won the first game by 123 pins, the second game by 228 pins and won the third game by 153 pins. Due to a Union Catholic loss, Cranford is now tied for the conference lead with one match to go.
The Cranford bowlers also punched in an impressive 7-0 victory on Feb. 7 against Rahway. The Cougars managed to overtake them in the last frame to win the first game by 27 pins. Cranford rolled to a decisive win in the second game and won by 197 pins and the third game by a tighter margin of 87 pins.

The Heroes: Junior Scott Belmont was outstanding for Cranford on Feb. 9 with a high series of 635 and high game of 257 for the Cougars. Freshman Brendan Chan rolled a 506 series followed by Junior Brian Sigl with a 453, Tim Coda contributed a 443 series and Mike Milwicz a 425 series.
The Captain: “The team is really bowling well. We have an opportunity to win the conference on Monday, which is something I am looking forward to since this is my last season with the team," Mike Milwicz said, Cranford team captain.
