Chris Juliano bowled a team-high 507 series, while Michael Milwicz rolled a 485 to lead Cranford to victory over Plainfield 7-0 Monday afternoon at Jersey Lanes in Elizabeth.
The Cougars finished with a total of 2,197 pins, besting the Cardinals 1,961 for the three games.
"It was good," said Cranford coach Richard Goldstein. "We won, we came in to take care of business and we won all seven games, which was nice. We bowled a little above our average for all three games as well. They played consistent, they had a nice fresh weekend. It's a good start to the week."

Sophomore Scott Belmont had a series total of 451, including a 161 in the final game. Tim Coda continues to lift his game, rolling a 161 in the opener and a 170 in the middle game.
"I really didn't think I was that consistent," said Belmont. "I'm trying to keep my scores within twenty pins of each other, my 130 and then a 160, that's not really consistent in my eyes. We really need this win for a nice boost to our morale, to help get our team on the road to victory in the future."

"Coda's been practicing a lot harder," said Goldstein. "A lot of the guys have been showing him techniques, he's got a new ball and I think having the right technology and the right equipment is a good start."
"We bowled well today," said Milwicz. "Tim did pretty well too, he's been getting in the pocket a lot, rolling the ball and that's helped us a lot."
Senior Jason Fried stepped up with a solid 152 in the leadoff spot for Cranford.
"Today, in the first game, I had a clear mind, I had a good day in school," said Fried. "I just bowled today and I had a good game. I've been on the team for three years now. I didn't bowl my freshman year and I worked really hard to get here, trying to stay here."
"Everyone is stepping up because every day that we get better, is another day that we're probably going to win," said Belmont. "And if we keep doing better like this during the off-season, next season we will be a very good team."
Cranford will next face Hillside on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
"The rest of the week should be interesting," said Goldstein. "We have Hillside, which we should be able to take care of, and Union will be a tough match on Thursday. If we pick up one of those games, I think it will be a success for us."
"Hillside is going to be a challenge," said Belmont. "But I think we can overcome them and beat them if we bowl our best games and keep doing better as we have done all season."
