Cranford Celebrates Memorial Day 2019 (Video)

CRANFORD, NJ - The weather was picture, and video, perfect at the community of Cranford celebrated the unofficial start of summer on Monday morning.
The commemoration began with a parade that began at the Community Center, located at 220 Walnut Avenue, at 9 a.m. and ended with services at Memorial Park on Springfield Avenue at approximately 10 a.m.
Grand Marshal of Cranford this year's Memorial Day Parade was Lee Blowe, a combat squadron leader with Charlie Company of the 1st Marine Division and member of the Memorial Day Committee. Blowe is also is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a Senior Vice Commander.

Cranford's TV35 filmed both the parade and the services. The first 40 minutes of the broadcast contains the parade, and then the ceremony picks up after an approximately 18 minute break at 58 minutes. Blowe shares his remarks at 2:15 minutes into the broadcast.
