Cranford Contest: Residents, Families Can Compete To Build Scarecrow For 'Stroll'

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford's "Scarecrow Stroll" returns this year, in which individuals or families build a creative scarecrow on a date in October, and people can vote for their favorites through Halloween.

There are various prizes and categories, with top prize in each category a $100 gift card.

Individuals or families must register by Oct. 4, then will have a date to build a scarecrow and compete. Voting takes place through Halloween.

From Oct. 15 to 31, scarecrows created by the Cranford families, business owners, schools, and organizations will line the downtown streets.
