Cranford Cops, DPW Pull Off Late Christmas Miracle

An ornament found in discarded Christmas tree was returned to owners.

CRANFORD, NJ - It was a late Christmas miracle over the weekend in Cranford when Department of Public Works employees and Cranford Police joined forces in order to return a lost ornament to its owners.

The DPW crew noticed the ornament, a ceramic bride and groom under an archway dated 11-25-11, when they were picking up Christmas trees for disposal, the Cranford Police said.

The names Keith and Cory were written in a heart at the groom's feet and the with the assistance of the Cranford Police Department, the owners were identified and reunited with their ornament, officials said.
