Cranford Increases Police Presence At Train Station

Anyone should report any suspicious packages, or any suspicious activity, at the train station by calling the the Cranford police or 911

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police Department have increased patrols at the local train station in town after five explosive devices were found at a train station in Elizabeth overnight.

"We are in constant contact with FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force and have been monitoring the situation now," said Cranford Detective Sgt. Ryan Greco. "We have extra patrol at the train station as well."

The Cranford Train Station is located along the Raritan Valley Line.

The incident in Elizabeth happened just two days after apipe bomb exploded in a trash can at a charity 5K run in Seaside Heights, and an explosion that injured 29 people in the Chelsea section of Manhattan.
