Cranford Local Among 3 Drug Arrests: Blotter
Cranford Police reported making four arrests this past week, including the arrest of a Cranford local.

Cranford, NJ - A Cranford resident was among three people arrested drug related over the past week, according to the Cranford Police blotter.
On June 15 at 10:41 p.m.: A 2015 GMC was stopped on E. North Avenue when the driver, Brian Bordeaux, 26, of Hillside was observed operating the vehicle while utilizing a handheld device.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Gerrity determined that Bordeaux had active warrants out of Clark, Elizabeth, and the Union County Sheriff’s Department. Subsequent to these warrants, Bordeaux was placed under arrest, and transported to Cranford Police Headquarters.

While back at Headquarters, it was determined that a RCA Tablet, which was in the possession of Bordeaux, was reported stolen out of Phoenix, AZ.
Bordeaux, was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and Contempt of Courtand and was processed pending a Municipal Court Appearance. Bordeaux was turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department on the active warrant.

Bordeaux was issued motor vehicle summons for using a handheld device while operating a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, and failing to produce a valid insurance card.
On June 20 at 8:05 p.m.: Patrol Units responded to the area of Lincoln Avenue and Walnut Avenue on a report of a suspicious person complaint called in by a resident.
An investigation at the scene conducted by Ptl. Handy determined that the suspicious person, Alexander Gaszi, 25, of Cranford was in possession of synthetic cannabinoid. He was charged with Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Gaszi was arrested, processed, and released pending a Union County Superior Court date.
On June 20 at 10:21 p.m.: A 1999 Nissan was stopped on the GSP 137 NB ramp at E. North Avenue for having an expired registration.
Following an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Donnerstag located marijuana inside the vehicle. A passenger, William Padilla, 21, of Belleville was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana (under 50g) and Possession of Paraphernalia. He was processed and released pending a Municipal Court appearance.
The driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for unregistered vehicle.
On June 21 at 11:28 a.m.: A 1998 Lexus was stopped at the intersection of E. North Ave. and John St. when the driver failed to utilize the turn signal.
During an investigation at the scene, Ptl. Jordan and Ptl. Galves located marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, Jean-Charles, 27, of Hillside was arrested for Possession of Marijuana(under 50g) and Possession of Paraphernalia.
He was processed and released pending a Municipal Court appearance. Jean-Charles was issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to utilize turn signal and having a controlled dangerous substance inside the vehicle.
