Cranford Pedestrian Hit By Car, Transported to Hospital
A Cranford woman was hit by a car, driven by another Cranford resident, while crossing a street in town early Wednesday morning,

CRANFORD, NJ — A Cranford woman was hit by a car while crossing a street in town early Wednesday morning, according to police.
At 7 a.m. this morning, the 59-year-old woman was crossing at the intersection of E. South Avenue and Centennial Avenue when she was hit by a car driven by a 52-year-old Cranford man, according to police.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for evaluation by Cranford Fire EMS.

The accident is under investigation by the Cranford Police Department Traffic Division. There are currently no charges filed in this investigation.
As a result of the investigation the intersection has been closed.
