Cranford Police Detective To Sing National Anthem
Cranford Police Detective Kelly Rieder will sing the National Anthem at the start of the Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Walk on Oct. 22

CRANFORD, NJ — Cranford Police Detective Kelly Rieder of the Juvenile Department has many talents. She can help children in the community and loves to sing.
Rieder is taking her talent to the Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Walk where she will sing the National Anthem at the start of the event on Oct. 22.
“I am very excited to sing at the walk because I work in the juvenile bureau and Prevent Links does a lot for the youth in our community,” Rieder said. “It will really be a great day.”

This isn’t Rieder’s first singing performance, she has sung at a lot of different events including the police academy graduation, Cranford’s 9/11 ceremony, at an NJ Devils game and at a Somerset Patriots game.

“It’s been a hobby of mine forever, since I was a little kid I always enjoyed singing and have auditioned for different shows in the past,” Rieder said.
Rieder is a detective in the juvenile department and has been with the Cranford Police Department almost 11 years.
The Red Ribbon Drug Prevention Walk will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nomahegan Park, 1024 Springfield Ave in Cranford.
