Cranford Police Stop Linden Man For Alleged DWI, Possession

CRANFORD — The Cranford police pulled over a driver on Jan. 14 near Centennial Avenue and Rarity Road because of alleged erratic driving, according to police. Police said that Officer D'Agostino conducted an investigation on the scene and arrested the man.

Edward Gisondi, 40, of Linden was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Possession of Paraphernalia, related to "suspected heroin and crack cocaine," police said.

Gisondi was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for careless driving, failure to maintain his lane, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, according to the police.
