Cranford Resident Helps Vets Get Their Degree

Martha Garcia assists veterans and students make the transition between the military and school.

Young adulthood is a time of transitions. For many older teenagers it’s a time of heading from high school to college, but for a smaller number of individuals it’s a time to move from school to serving in the military. Martha Papson Garcia is the Director of Veterans Services for Outreach and the ROTC liaison in the Office of Veterans Services at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

In this Cranford Radio interview she talks about her work with veterans who are attending college after their service and those students who plan to enter the military through ROTC. She also discusses about her numerous volunteer roles in Cranford.
