Power Restored At Cranford Schools, Locals Still Without Power
Breaking: Cranford residents still remain in the dark. PSE&G reports 4,043 customers still do not have power.

CRANFORD, NJ — Power has been restored as of 11 a.m. after all Cranford Schools were in shelter in place due to phone and internet issues Friday morning, police reported.
The issues stemmed from the widespread power issues affecting Union County and the state.
"We are in contact will all schools. No need to go to the schools," Cranford Police had announced previously around 10 a.m.

Cranford residents still remain in the dark. PSE&G reports 4,043 customers still do not have power.
PSE&G reports 5,400 and JCP&L 19,981 customers are without power across the state including in Berkeley Heights, Westfield, Scotch Plains and Cranford.

The outages for the PSE&G and Jersey Central Power & Light customers are due to an issue at a JCP&L substation, NJ.com reported.
