CRANFORD, NJ — The polls have closed in New Jersey and the Cranford election results are coming in.

In Cranford, just one seat was open on the five-member Township Committee this November.
As of Wednesday morning, these were the unofficial results:
- Kathleen Rappa (Democrat): 4,384
- Regina Black (Republican): 4,879

More About The Cranford Elections
Cranford runs under the township form of government. After the members of the Township Committee are elected by the public in staggered years, they choose a mayor from among
themselves each year. Committee seats last three years.
Cranford residents also were able to vote for school board (more here).
They were also able to cast a ballot for the state Senate and Assembly in the 21st Legislative District.
