Cranford's Independence Day Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

Cranford is having their July 4 celebration a little early this year. Check out the details inside.

CRANFORD, NJ – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day.

We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around town so you can start planning now.

Cranford has made the decision to celebrate early this year, here are the details:

  • What: Township of Cranford Independence Day Fireworks
  • Where: Nomahegan Park, 1107 Springfield Avenue, Cranford
  • When: Tuesday, July 2, starting at 9:15 p.m.

The Township of Cranford Independence Day Fireworks Display held annually at Nomahegan Park, 1107 Springfield Avenue in Cranford, will see a change of date this year to Tuesday, July 2.

"The decision to change the date of this family-friendly tradition celebrating America's freedom was not taken lightly," said Township Administrator Jamie Cryan. "It came after months of monitoring and collective analysis from the Office of Emergency Management, Cranford Police
Department, and Cranford Fire Department. We are blessed to have world-class public safety
professionals looking out for our residents."

The fireworks will begin at around 9:15 p.m. in Nomahegan Park, Cranford. Limited parking will be available at Union County College, 1033 Springfield Ave., Cranford. Residents are encouraged to walk or car pool to avoid traffic congestion.
