Disabled Vehicle Leads To Drug Arrest: Cranford Police
Shavar Ward was arrested after an incident on Hayes Street, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 32-year-old Plainfield man was arrested and and charged with possession after an incident on Hayes Street Feb. 10, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Thomas Bell responded to a call of a disabled vehicle on Hayes Street. Following an investigation at the scene, Bell arrested the driver, Shavar Ward, for suspected Percocet found inside the vehicle, police said. Ward was charged with Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date.
