Do You Know as Much Cranford History as a Third Grader?
Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 7:30 p.m., Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

Every year Cranford’s third graders visit the Crane-Phillips House Museum, Cranford’s state and nationally designated historic site. They learn about Cranford’s history from the days of the Lenni- Lenape to the present from costumed interpreters, who try their best to make Cranford history meaningful and fun. Cranford’s third graders know the answers to questions like: How did Cranford get its name? Who were Josiah Crane and Henry Phillips? Why do we have streets named Alan Okell and Bargos? What Cranford woman fought for Pure Food? Join Christine Glazer, Program/Museum Education Chair of the Cranford Historical Society. Then, you, too, will know as much history as a Cranford third grader! Admission is free and all are welcome. The program is sponsored by the Cranford Historical Society and the Cranford Public Library.
