Driver Charged With Drug Possession After Cranford Traffic Stop

CRANFORD, NJ — A 42-year-old Perth Amboy woman was charged with drug possession following a traffic stop on North Avenue on April 27, according to Cranford police.

Officers conducted the stop at approximately 6:58 p.m., police said.

During the encounter, the woman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), according to authorities.

She was released pending a court appearance.

Police did not release further details about the stop or the circumstances leading up to the arrest.
