Drug Arrest On Raritan Road: Cranford Police

Jade Baptiste was arrested after a motor vehicle stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 24-year-old Linden man was arrested and charged with possession of under 50g of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on July 14, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman John Ratigan stopped a 2001 BMW was stopped on Centennial Avenue and Raritan Road for having a brake light out. Following an investigation on scene, Rattigan arrested the driver, Jade Baptiste, for possession of suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court
appearance date.

In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for maintenance of lamps, failure
to exhibit an insurance card, failure to inspect and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
