Drunk Driver Arrested After Crash: Cranford Police

CRANFORD, NJ - A 51-year-old Linden man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle crash on June 22, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, police units responded to a reported motor vehicle crash on Centennial Avenue at the Garden State Parkway 136 Exchange. Following an investigation on scene, Patrolman John Rattigan arrested one of the drivers, Hermenegildo Bartolo, for driving while intoxicated, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving, police said.
