Drunk Driver Had No License, Insurance: Cranford Police
Arles Vivieca was stopped for a seatbelt violation, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 42-year-old Elizabeth man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Oct. 26, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Gross stopped a 2013 Honda on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Gross arrested the driver, Arles Vivieca, for driving while intoxicated, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Vivieca was issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to submit to the taking of breath samples, a seatbelt violation, failure to signal a turn, failure to keep right, no valid driver’s license in his possession and no valid insurance card in his possession, police said.
