Drunk Driver Ran Stop Sign, Had No License: Cranford Police

Jamie Tansky also had drugs, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 33-year-old Winfield Park woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of prescription legend drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Nov. 14, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Jason D’Agostino stopped a 2015 Mazda on Brookside Place and Orchard Street for failing to stop for a stop sign.

Following an investigation on scene, D’Agostino arrested the driver, Jamie Tansky, for
driving while intoxicated and possession of suspected Xanax and Suboxone located inside the vehicle, police said.

She was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Tansky was also issued motor vehicle summonses for failing to stop for a stop sign, careless driving, suspended driving, an unsafe lane change, failure to keep right and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
