Drunk Driving, Drug Charges On Washington Place: Cranford Police
Robert Roy was charged with possession and unclear plates, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 40-year-old Scotch Plains man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle stop on Sept. 6, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Folinusz stopped a 2013 Infiniti on South Avenue West and Washington Place for unclear plates. Following an investigation on scene, Folinusz arrested the driver, Robert Roy, for driving while intoxicated and possession of suspected marijuana found inside the vehicle, police said.
He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, Roy was issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates, tinted windows and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
