Come enjoy life with acclaimed jazz music artists in concert  at the popular monthly Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe
Concert & Dining Experience, located at 21 Union Avenue N. in downtown Cranford, NJ.
The experience includes a choice of a delicious Music Menu Italian cuisine entree, dessert and a beverage. BYO is welcome.  The concert series continues on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 7pm with an evening of
Brazilian jazz with acclaimed Brazilian pianist Cidinho Teixeira & Friends in concert that promises to captivate the audience.
The name Cidinho Teixeira is synonymous with Brazilian Groove. Born in August 14th 1942 in Rio Grande R.G. do Sul, his lifelong immersion and proficiency in many of the
styles of Brazilian music have given him great insight into the elements needed to make the music "feel its roots" and "move the people".
He was one of the pianists at Chico's Bar in Rio de Janeiro
during to 70's when Bossa Nova hit the scene for the second time. He was even playing a set when Bill Evans arrived to check out the music. Cidinho has performed
with some of the top Brazilian personalities including Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Leny Andrade, Gal Costa and Simone to name a few. Most recently, he played a European tour with the legendary Johnny Alf and Alaide Costa.
Witness Cidinho's groove mastery at this special evening of Brazilian jazz at Jazz It Up @ Tony's Cafe and at various NYC venues. You might find yourself sitting next to legendary artists Airto, Flora, Tania Maria, or whoever's
headlining at the Blue Note!
Cidinho is joined for this evening by special guest artists including Brazilian vocalist Carolina, bassist Leco Reis and drummer Edson Ferreira.
The management and staff at Tony's Cafe strive to make sure that every visit to this unique cultural experience is better than the time before. The venue offers the perfect ambience for a relaxing monthly evening of listening
pleasure. Delicious Italian cuisine and a BYO policy help to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for everyone's enjoyment. Good music, Good food, Good friends, Good
times at Jazz It Up!
