CRANFORD, NJ — It's spooky season! While some Halloween traditions have been curbed or canceled this year, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate safely. For instance, you can decorate your home or business.

Cranford, Westfield, and Maplewood are among the towns that are hosting house or business decorating contests this month. Besides entering your home or business, you can drive around and look at how other people are decorating. (Westfield lists more than 50 addresses to check out.)

The deadline to join the house decorating contest in Cranford passed already, but keep your eyes open: the houses will be judged between Oct. 19 and Oct. 23. Categories include spookiest, most creative, and "all around favorite."
