
THE GREAT PUMPKIN CARVE OUT RETURNS TO CRANFORD
Carved pumpkin contest and display and movie; for all ages
The Great Pumpkin Carve Out will return to the Hanson Park in Cranford, NJ on Saturday, October 20nd (rain date of October 27th). The pumpkin carving contest is open to all ages with awards given for funniest, scariest, and most original grouped by ages. Participants can drop off their creatively carved pumpkins from 10 am until 3 pm at Hanson Park at 38 Springfield Ave, Cranford on Saturday October 20nd along with a completed registration form. Stroll along the lighted pathway through the garden of Hanson Park to see the carved pumpkins on display, each on its own pedestals, from 6-9 pm (rain day of October 27th).

Bring your blankets for a big screen outdoor showing of GHOSTBUSTERS, the creepy fun Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray classic. The movie, stroll and contest are all free. Hot cider will be available.
Registration forms are available on line at www.jcas.org or from the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave., Cranford before the event. Pumpkins can be picked up after the event.

This will be the fifth GREAT PUMPKIN CARVE out, which has drawn hundreds of visitors from throughout the area. This is a Jersey Central Art Studio’s (JCAS) Events, along with the Cranford Jaycees.
JCAS is a group of artists and citizens dedicated to raising awareness of the arts and the artistic process as well as integrating the arts into the community through education, events and economic development. We see art as a vital component to our lives and one that will also enrich our community.
