Heroin Arrest On Forest Avenue: Cranford Police

Christopher Sohnen was stopped for erratic driving, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 32-year-old Bridgewater man was arrested and charged with possession of prescription drugs and possession of a controlled dangerous substance after a motor vehicle stop on July 19, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Timothy Handy stopped a a 2004 Dodge on North Avenue East and Forest Avenue for erratic driving. Following an investigation on scene, Handy arrested the driver, Christopher Sohnen, for possession of suspected Suboxone and heroin found on him, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for improper passing, a seatbelt violation, no valid insurance card and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
