Heroin Arrest On Moen Avenue: Cranford Police

Miguel Santana was stopped for a motor vehicle violation, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 36-year-old Bloomfield man was arrested and charged with heroin possession after a motor vehicle stop on June 28, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Ali Muhammad stopped a 2007 Chrysler on Raritan Road and Moen Avenue for a brake light out. Following an investigation on scene, Muhammad arrested a passenger, Miguel Santana, for possession of suspected heroin found in his possession, police said. Santana was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.

In addition, he was issued a motor vehicle summons for a seatbelt violation, police said.
