Heroin Charge For Unlicensed Driver: Cranford Police
Benjamin Darby was charged with possession after a traffic stop, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 46-year-old Rahway man was arrested and charged with possession after a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 31, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman Ryan Gerrity stopped a 2005 Saab on Centennial Avenue and Cayuga Road for an expired temporary registration. Following an investigation at the scene, Gerrity arrested the driver, Benjamin Darby, for suspected Suboxone and heroin found in his possession, police said. Darby was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.
In addition, Darby was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driver, unregistered vehicle and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
