Heroin, Cocaine Arrest On Hayes Street: Cranford Police
Robert Haines was stopped for a seatbelt violation, police said.
CRANFORD, NJ - A 51-year-old Colonia man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after a motor vehicle stop on Aug. 16, according to the Cranford Police Department.
According to authorities, Patrolman John Ratigan stopped a 2004 Toyota on Centennial Avenue and Hayes Street for a seatbelt violation.
Following an investigation on scene, Rattigan arrested a passenger, Robert Haines, for suspected heroin and cocaine found inside the vehicle, police said. He was processed and provided with a Superior Court appearance date.

In addition, the driver was issued a motor vehicle summons for an improper turn, police said.
