Insurance In The 'Star Wars' Galaxy

For "Star Wars" fans, Christmas comes a bit earlier this year, as the seventh installment in the film franchise comes to theaters on Dec. 18

Clark, NJ November 4, 2015 -For “Star Wars” fans, Christmas comes a bit earlier this year, as the seventh installment in the film franchise comes to theaters on Dec. 18. Titled “The Force Awakens,” the series picks up where “Return of the Jedi” left off, only 30 years later. Title characters like Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford, will reprise their roles, as well Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, and of course, the legendary tandem of R2-D2 and C3PO.

Over a two-and-a-half hour period, aficionados of the film series will be transported back to a time “long ago, in a galaxy far, far away,” caught up in the fast-paced action sequences that pits The Dark Side against The Force.

You don’t have to be a fan of the film franchise to know that “Star Wars” is nothing if not an action and adventure series. While fictional, it references several true to life issues, like the battle between good and evil, overcoming adversity, leadership and family ties. But it also delves into day-to-day dealings - only in an intergalactic sort of way.

Podracing damage
For instance, one of the more exciting scenes in “Star Wars” history comes from “The Phantom Menace,” which hit theaters in 2000. A prequel to the original series, the first installment hearkened back to the early days of Anakin Skywalker, father to Luke who goes on to become the series’ antagonist in Darth Vader. In this film, though, Anakin is a podracer by trade, the best in all the land. He isn’t void of mistakes, however, as viewers come to realize during the podracing action sequence. With the proper auto insurance policy, however, Anakin would be able to get his chassis fixed quickly, assuming he wasn’t at fault.

Harsh conditions on Tatooine
Or how about what goes on back at Tatooine, the place that the Skywalker family called home. Inhabited by humans, hutts, jawas and tusken raiders, the planet is well-populated, but it’s also subject to harsh weather and climatic conditions, including drought, long periods of darkness and meteor showers. With the proper homeowners insurance policy, however, locals would be able to weather the storm and address the “force” of nature.
