Junior League hosts Career Closet Community Open House

The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield (JLEP), a leading women’s organization dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities, is thrilled to celebrate "Find the Good Day" by hosting an open house for their Career Closet on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 12-2pm.

The Career Closet located on the 2nd floor of The Jumble Store (110 Walnut St, Cranford) is the JLEP signature community outreach service project, offering career-dressing services at no charge to women associated with a community agency and struggling financially. By providing professional clothing and skills, the JLEP hopes to increase the self-confidence, self-esteem, and ultimately, the self-sufficiency of our clients.

“Find the Good Day” is a special day of unity and compassion aimed to spread kindness, uplift others, and inspire positive change across the area."As we approach "Find the Good Day,' we are reminded of the profound impact we can have when we unite with hope and optimism," said JLEP Co-President Heidi Martindell. "Together, we can create a brighter, kinder world, one act of goodness at a time."

The JLEP invites the community to join in the festivities at the Career Closet and encourages the people to make a difference on this significant day. Whether it's through a good deed, volunteer initiatives, or simply spreading positivity through kind gestures, every contribution has the power to create lasting change. In the spirit of celebration, the JLEP encourages participants to take photos and share them on social media.
