La Crème HOSTS Fashion Gala Benefiting Cancer stricken student
mountainside, N.J. – Amidst an audience of five hundred, La Crème Modeling/Acting LLC, New Jersey’s number one modeling agency, presented its 2016 NJ Fashion Week Gala at the Doubletree Hilton, Newark, NJ. The benefit, sponsored in part by Ray Catena Mercedes Benz, raised awareness around Ependymoma in support of Melody Bialkowski, an inspiring La Crème student who was diagnosed with this rare form of brain cancer four years ago.

Bialkowski, who recently turned 18, has directed her attention towards working with La Crème to perfect her craft and expand her passion for acting and modeling into a possible career. The event provided Bialkowski with the once in a lifetime opportunity to model gowns by Simone Sisa, designer to the stars. Prior to the Gala, Sisa’s designs have appeared on the red carpets of the Grammys and the Academy Awards.
Patricia Pinto, President and CEO of La Crème Modeling/Acting LLC, shared her thoughts on Bialkowski and the success of the Gala. “To see all of my students come together working as a team to raise awareness for Melody and her condition is truly so rewarding.” She continued, “The solidarity everyone has shown at this event has been one of the most heart-warming experiences.”

The event featured appearances by Mayor Chris Bollwage of Elizabeth, Union County Freeholder Angel Estrada, and former La Crème graduate Ines Rosales of FOX 5 News who acted as the Gala’s Master of Ceremonies.
