Lax Kids Clinic Strengthens Young Players' Skills
The five week clinic for 1st and 2nd graders concluded.
The Cranford Lacrosse Club concluded its Lax Kids lacrosse clinic for 1st and 2nd graders. During the five week clinic, boys and girls learned proper passing, catching and cradling skills through a series of drills and scrimmages. Volunteers consisted of Cranford lacrosse coaches, Club board members and players from the Cranford High School boys and girls' team. In addition to gaining skills, the kids learned about the history of lacrosse and participated in a baggataway game, playing barefoot in the way the game was originally played when it was created over 500 years ago.
Over 50 kids participated in the inaugural program and improved their skills significantly.
