Monday, February 1, 2016, 7:30 p.m., Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

Did you know that in ancient Greece you could smell a ship before you saw it, or that no one on a Roman warship was a slave? Immerse yourself in the history and lore of biremes, triremes, and their descendants, from Egypt to Rome. The Friends of the Cranford Public Library invite you to join Dr. Michael Norris, former Museum Educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, for this fascinating look into ancient maritime history. Admission is free and all are welcome.
