Playa Bowls Opens In Cranford

CRANFORD, NJ — Playa Bowls, the smoothie bowl shop, opened up their first Union County location in Cranford earlier this month.

The Cranford franchise location opened at 102 B North Union Avenue on Nov. 5.

In the beginning, Playa Bowls were mostly found in beach towns (Belmar was its' first location), but have begun spreading inland. They currently have more than 21 locations.

Most smoothie bowls are made with acai berries and a mix of other fruits, and sell for about $10 a bowl.

Playa Bowls is also planning on opening their first Somerset County location in Somerville in 2018. For more information visit their website here.
