Police Log: Recent Arrests in Cranford
Cranford Police reported the following recent activity, including a DUI and possession of heroin and cocaine.

The following actions were reported by the Cranford Police Department:
- On Aug. 5, Cranford Police stopped a 2007 Land Rover at the intersection of Alden Street and North Union Avenue for having no license plate, police said. The passenger, Springfield resident Ross Schickler, 19, was arrested after the officers discovered marijuana and paraphernalia in the vehicle. According to police, Schickler was also issued motor vehicle summonses for unclear plates and failure to exhibit documents.
- On Aug. 5, Cranford Police pulled over a 2004 Suzuki at the intersection of Raritan Road and Coleman Avenue for a motor vehicle violation, police said. Officers determined the driver, Roselle resident Reyonna Mosely-Ward, 18, was driving under the influence, police said. Mosely-Ward was arrested for driving while intoxicated and was also issued motor vehicle summonses for driving while intoxicated, careless driving, failing to keep right, and failure to exhibit documents.
- On Aug. 8, Cranford Police stopped a 2008 Subaru at the intersection of Holly Street and Alden Street after a citizen motor vehicle complaint, police said. Officers located cocaine and heroin inside the vehicle and arrested the driver, Matthew Dimarco, 28, of Cranford, police said. He was also issued motor vehicle summos for having a controlled dangerous substance in his vehicle. Dimarco is awaiting a Superior Court appearance.
- On Aug. 8, Irvington resident Michael Dawkins, 37, was arrested following a suspicious motor vehicle investigation, police said. Officers discovered Dawkins was in possession of marijuana under 50 grams and had paraphernalia with him.
- On Aug. 9, Cranford Police stopped a 2005 Toyota on Myrtle Street and Park Street for a motor vehicle violation. Officers discovered Fords resident Brandon Villanueva, 20, was in possession of marijuana under 50 grams and paraphernalia, police said. Villanueva was then arrested, processed, and released to a friend, pending a Municipal Court appearance, police said.
- On Aug. 15, Cranford Police stopped a 2004 Jeep at the GSP NB 137 Entrance Ramp at E. North Avenue for having multiple brake lights out, police said. Officers located marijuana inside the vehicle of Roselle resident Donica Nyenator, 34, police said. Nyenator was issued motor vehicle summonses for having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, unlicensed driver, and failing to maintain lamps. Officers also determined that a passenger, Roselle resident William Hemmings, 28, had an outstanding traffic warrant out of Newark Municipal Court. Hemmings was arrested, processed, and released on his own recognizance, police said.
