Seatbelt Stop Leads To Disorderly Conduct Arrest: Cranford Police

Almalik Walker was also charged with hindering apprehension, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 29-year-old East Orange man was arrested after a seat violation stop on Sept. 20, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Courtney Holder stopped a 2008 Jeep on Cleary Avenue and McClellan Street for a seatbelt violation. Following an investigation on scene, Holder arrested a passenger, Almalik Walker, for disorderly conduct and hindering apprehension after discovering he had an active arrest warrant out of Newark, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, the driver was issued motor vehicle summonses for suspended driver and tinted windows, police said.
