Speeding, Uninsured Driver Was Drunk: Cranford Police

Scott Desch also had no registration when he was pulled over, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 45-year-old Westfield man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over for speeding, according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Detective Steven D'Ambola stopped a 2010 Honda on Walnut Avenue for speeding. Following an investigation on scene, D’Ambola arrested the driver, Scott Desch, for driving while intoxicated, police said.

He was processed and provided with a Municipal Court appearance date. In addition, he was issued motor vehicle summonses for speeding, careless driving, unclear plates, no valid registration in his possession and no valid insurance card in his possession, police said.
