Survey Says: Give Your Feedback On Cranford Schools 'Reimagining'

A group of parents are gathering opinions on the controversial 'reimagining' plan for the Cranford School District via online survey.

CRANFORD, NJ - A group of parents are gathering opinions on the controversial 'reimagining' plan for the Cranford School District via online survey, and they want their neighbors to share their thoughts.

The brainchild of Christopher Acosta, Christine Saliceti and Angelina Pigna-Griffith (among others), the survey instrument is designed to allow for the community to have a lot more specifics to track the net benefits as it relates to the proposed Reimagination plan and capturing the concerns in a structured manner.

The school administration has been holding meetings about a new Strategic Plan that will focus on the district's new mission, vision, goals, and action plans which will guide the next five years. Included in the proposal could be redistricting, the process of changing school attendance zones within a school district.

The organizers of the survey acknowledged that because the proposed plan to reimagine the district is a hot topic, they will take pains to ensure full transparency of the survey data post the survey close date and it will be shared with everyone, including school Superintendent Scott Rubin.

The survey is open now and will remain open until Sunday, Nov. 25 at 9:30 p.m.
