Union County Man Goes For Spin On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

CRANFORD, NJ — Newlywed Giovanni D’onza of Cranford appeared as a contestant on "Wheel of Fortune" late last month — and now you can see him spin.

D'onza appeared on the Sept. 23 episode. He's an athletic trainer and a newlywed, according to the show's publicists.

"Giovanni has been a Wheel Watcher ever since he started watching with his grandmother as a kid," they said. "He was selected to be a contestant after applying at WheelofFortune.com with a video submission and feels 'fortunate' for the opportunity the same year as getting married and buying a house."

“I am hoping that years of watching the show will pay off!” D'onza said.

Everyone who's on the show goes home with a minimum of $1,000.
