Video: CHS 2007 Alums Place in Barbershop Quartet Competition

Commuters waiting to take Thursday's 4:50 p.m. New Jersey Transit train to Newark and New York had some entertainment while they waited for the train.

Ryan Brown and Alex McCoy, both 2007 graduates of Cranford High School, were singing barbershop quartet songs in one of the waiting areas on the tracks. The duo is part of a barbershop quartet in New York called Voices of Gotham.

The pairs participation in a barbershop quartet has recently received recognition. Last weekend, both placed fourth out of 15 teams in a competition in Harrisburg, Pa. Brown is a currently a student at Philadelphia University and McCoy is a student at Vasser College.
