Wayback Machine: Cranford Police Ledgers

Take a look at some police reports from 1923.

CRANFORD, NJ - The Cranford Police Department has fired up the wayback machine and shared a page of police reports from 1923, a time before Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management Systems.

Before the modern age, all police activities in ledger books with hand written entries. Many of the books are still in the Cranford Police archives.

  • a dog license inquiry for a dog running at large at Grant School
  • a broken water pipe in a home at Cherry Street and Union Avenue South
