Roselle Park, NJ -- A Roselle Park woman set fire to her home, killing one cat and injuring another inside, after learning she was going to be evicted, Roselle Park police reported.
Pamela H. Zimic, 62 was found sitting on the roof top of the first floor by Roselle Park Police who were responding to the fire at 541 W. Westfield Avenue on Monday, May 16 at 3:31 a.m.
"Zimic stated to police on scene that she started the fire intentionally," police reported. "It was also learned that an eviction process was recently initiated by her landlord."

Two cats were also located inside, one was transported to animal control for treatment and the other died.
Roselle Park Fire Department rescued Zimic from the roof and she was transported to St. Baranabas Hospital for minor burns to her face and head, as well as smoke inhalation.

The Roselle Park Police Department, Roselle Park Fire Department and the Union County Fire Investigator Task Force determined the fire was arson.
Zimic was released from the hospital and charged with second degree aggravated arson with bail set at $75,000.
