7 New Coronavirus Cases Reported At East Brunswick Schools

East Brunswick schools reported a total of seven new cases of coronavirus within the district on Friday.

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – East Brunswick schools reported a total of seven new cases of coronavirus within the district on Friday, according to Superintendent Victor Valeski.

In an update posted to the district's website Friday afternoon, Valeski said "it is not good news."

The new cases are as follows:

  • One student at CJHS
  • Two students at EBHS as well as two close contacts
  • One staff member at Central Elementary
  • One staff at Chittick Elementary, along with four administrators and three other instructional staff as close contacts
  • One staff member at Frost Elementary
  • One staff member at CJHS

All of those mentioned above are currently in quarantine.

As the school district prepares to go fully remote on Monday, Valeski is urging students and staff who test positive to contact their school's nurse to report it.
