EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — East Brunswick students will head back to classrooms on Wednesday for the first day of school. But for high school students, the day will be cut short due to intense heat in the state.

East Brunswick High School will have early dismissal on Wednesday as temperatures are set to hit 95 degrees. Thursday would be another single session or early dismissal due to excessive heat, officials said.

The schedule for the rest of the district will not change as the buildings are well-air-conditioned.
