4-H Center In East Brunswick Hosts Fall Clothing, Shoe Drive

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The Middlesex County 4-H Youth Development Program is collecting used clothing and shoes this month at the Middlesex County 4-H Center in East Brunswick.

The Fall Clothing and Shoe Drive will run every Friday and Saturday in October from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted at the Fern Road entrance of the center, located at 645 Cranbury Road.

The program is asking for used clothing, shoes, handbags, stuffed animals and linens. Items should be packed in sturdy plastic trash bags.

People dropping off donations can also stop by the center's family-friendly Haunted House and Hayride. Admission is $8 per person for one activity or $15 per person for both. Proceeds will go toward local service projects.

On Halloween night, Oct. 31, only the Haunted House will be open, from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Middlesex County 4-H Youth Development Program is part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Middlesex County. It offers educational and leadership programs for youth in grades K-13, with activities in science, animals, arts and crafts, food, the environment and more.
